METAMORPHIC

‘Metamorphic’, Alex's current collection is a series of textile art pieces employing the ancient Goldwork embroidery and applique techniques with a contemporary flare. Inspired by a recent visit to Cyprus, the forms and composition of rocks within ancient Roman walls captured my attention such as the organic and non-uniform nature in which the crumbling constructions appeared.
