FAITH AND FEARS

'Faith and Fears' is Alex's undergraduate final major project collection and is a series of sculptural, but wearable headpieces. It explores the idea the conflict and contrast between two themes, and takes inspiration from the Byzantine mosaics in Sicily and her phobia of spiders. Through intricate designs and use of embroidery it shows how her fears are overcome by changing the perspective and making them into something so exquisite and beautiful. “Since we cannot change reality, let us change the eyes which see reality.” (Nikos Kazantzakis, n.d.)
