Circulus is part of Alex's Harmony of Shapes series, an ongoing exploration of form, light, and perception through the lens of traditional embroidery. Crafted using the centuries old technique of Goldwork, this piece embodies a dialogue between historical craftsmanship and contemporary minimalism. The circular composition, simple and hypnotic, is designed to create an optical illusion that shimmers and shifts with changing light. As light moves across the embroidered surface, the interplay of gold threads produces a kinetic effect, transforming the static form into a radiant, ever-changing experience. The work invites the viewer to step closer, drawn by the tactile richness and luminous texture, only to encounter the intangible quality of reflection, a poetic blur between the seen and the felt.
