A series of hand embroidered artworks representing the power of hope during the great lockdown. 2020 has been an unprecedented year with many of us having been stuck inside the home looking out of the window to the same quiet and deserted scenery. Each morning as we view the sun rising, it provides a little glimmer of golden hope showing that better times are ahead. The certainty of the sun rising, as it has done for millennia, has provided reassurance that the world will keep turning and we will get through these strange and uncertain times.
Goldwork embroidery is used as it is a traditional and exquisite craft which is fitting to embody the theme of hope. It is often utilized for Ecclesiastical textiles which are used by those who choose to follow and share their faith which is exactly what the world currently needs.

  • Alex Standring delivers throughout the UK; unfortunately, we do not currently ship internationally. We aim to dispatch orders within 3 working days of receipt. Orders will only be dispatched once full payment has been received. Royal Mail Tracked 24 is the default service for all orders, expected delivery times are next working day from the date of despatch. Orders of £50.00 or over are sent Tracked 24 free of charge within the UK. Please read our terms and conditions below before purchasing.     We will deliver your order to the address that you give us. Please note, if your item is marked as delivered on the tracking to the address you entered at the checkout, we cannot refund your order. If you haven't received it personally, please check with family members, neighbours, in safe places on your property etc.

  • In compliance with the distance selling regulations, you may return an item(s) to Alex Standring unused, in its original condition, and in its original packaging within fourteen working days of receipt for a full refund (the customer is responsible for the cost of the return postage). Outside of this fourteen-day period, items can only be refunded if faulty. No items may be returned to Alex Standring without the prior written consent of Alex Standring, please get in touch via the contact page or email alexstandring@outlook.com.

    Damaged/faulty items must be returned before a refund issued; the cost of returning the items will be reimbursed. In the case of lost items, the post office claim procedure will be taken up before a refund is sent; proof of posting is obtained for all orders. Please use the standard mail service provided by your mail carrier and please obtain proof of posting. Return your items to the address on the back of the package (or alternatively please get in touch via the contact page or email alexstandring@outlook.com so that Alex Standring can provide you with the return address).

    • Refunds will be issued within 7 working days of receipt of the returned goods.
    • If we cannot fulfil your order, a full refund will be given.
    • This contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
